I love Solveig. I used to be on another naming forum where one of our regulars named her dd Karianna Solveig (pr. kar-ee-AH-na SOL-vay, nn Kari [pr. KAR-ee]). She had a Russian background and her dh's background was Norwegian.

Ooh, just had a thought ... wouldn't Sigrid and Solveig be cute for kitten sibs? Always thinking ahead ...

So much fun to say! It makes me smile to say it. Heck, I don't *say* Solveig, I sing it!
I don't know how usable it is, but I do like it. A lot.

I like it. It's very pretty, and I'd love to meet one. I'm not sure whether I prefer Solveig or Soleil. Either way, it's a great choice.
