I pronounce Eleanor as EL-en-or. I like this spelling as well as Elinor.
I like both Eleanor & Elena, but for some reason I could actually see you naming your daughter Elena over Eleanor.
I pronounce Elena as e-LAY-na or EL-en-ah.
