Re: Victor
I like it. It's known, but not overly used. I love to see / hear these kinds of names being rediscovered. As an aside, I love the combinaiton Victor Emmanuel. There was an Italian king with this name once. I think from the north, Savoy, but don't quote me on that. I thought that was an inspired combination of names. Victor I usually think of as hard and rugged. I wouldn't have thought that a soft name like Emmanuel would would work with it. But to me it really comes together nicely. Perhaps the king is too well known to use this combination for a real kid -- hopefully not. But I just had to mention it.

there were 3 of themThey started out as kings of Piedmont of the Savoy dinasty, then Victor Emanuel II became king of the whole of Italy when the country united in 1860s. I think it would be a rather infortunate combo on a real kid, esp. one part-Italian as my hypothetica future kids would be, lol. Victor Emanuel III was king during WWII and has a terrible reputation because he allowed Mussolini to become dictator and fled the country after the Allied invasion.
I do like Emanuel as well very much, incidentally.
