Calla
What do you think of the name Calla? Its the name that has been on my mind a lot lately and I really think I like it. I can't seem to think of a good middle name though, it will be an honoring name but I can't seem to find a fit. Here are a few that honor my family...
Calla Mae -seems too short
Calla Bernadette -doesn't seem to flow
Calla Ann -don't like the A ending and A begining
Calla Lorraine -too many L'sAny suggestions? Maybe something will pop into my mind.

I love Calla! I tend to categorize it as a flower name because of the calla lily, which is (according to me) a good thing. For some reason I love flower names, and really don't find them very frilly at all. They're gorgeous. I think that it can not only work as a full name, but can be a nn for Calliope or Kalliope (nn Kalla). Both a great. Anyway, with Calla as a fn, I really do like Calla Bernadette. To me it flows just fine. But here are some other ideas:Calla Madeline / Madeleine
Calla Felicity
Calla Joan
Calla Josephine
Calla Vivian
Calla Genevieve
Calla Isobel

Not really my thing, but I have a friend who really likes it. She's naming her imaginary daughter Anastasia Calla.

I agree, Calla + your family names don't seem to work. What about:Calla Nanette
Calla Beatrix
Calla Rachel
Calla Fiona
Calla Jessamine
Calla Matilda
Calla Victoria
Calla Sophie
Calla Winter
Calla SaoirseJust curious, are you pronouncing it call-ah (first syllable like call, rhyming with wall, tall, ball) or cah-lah, (first syllable rhyming with ma and da?)
