Shani
I love Shani - it symbolises "the scarlet thread" of Biblical and Jewish lore.
Ar first glance Shani might looks like a made-up or bimbo name without history or substance.
But it is Hebrew for "scarlet" and is rich in symbolism. At the moment it's a guilty pleasure name of mine (along with Leilani and Liraz) - but it could become more than that!
WDYT of Shani? Would you be tempted to use it instead of Scarlett (which always makes me think of "scarlet woman"?)

Shani is really cute and I like it, but I would never be temted to use it instead of Scarlett because the two have such different styles.
Its not bad, I prefer the spelling Sharni though.
I like Shani. It sounds pleasant. However, she could get awful nicknames like Neenee or Shan.
