How are you pronouncing it [m]
I have a friend named Dinah she says it "DEE-nah" not "DYE'nah".I prefer DYEnah. It's cute.

I would pronounce it DYE-nah. DEE-nah to me is spelled Dina or Dena, and is a completely different name. I knew a Dena, pronounced DEE-nah.I like Dinah, and don't like Dina or Dena.

But only in the US.Anywhere here else Dinah and Dena/Dina are the same names.Just a head's up.

In the UK..Dinah is dy-na and Dina is Dee-na like Dina Carroll, the singer.Dinah is old-fashioned but I think it gets used occasionally. I know of a teenage Dinah.Completely off-topic, I have never heard the expression "anywhere here else" and have to say it's confusing!

Not necessarilyI think because of the song most people would pronounce Dinah DYE-na. I'm speaking as a New Zealander, although I certainly can't talk for other people as the name is so out of use.
