Sephora
I just learned that this used to be the most common translation of Shiphrah. I love the sound, but is it too tied to the make-up company? Overall opinions of it? Thanks!

I had no clue about the makeup. I love Sephora! It's been one of my favorites for a few months.

I'd love if it weren't for the make-up company! I think it's the standard Italian version of Zipporah, at least according to Primo Levi.

I had no idea this was a name, so yes, I only know of it as make-up. What a pity - it is rather lovely.

I love the sound, but all I can think of it the makeup. Too bad!

I thought of the makeup right away.It is a pretty name, though. Though the association is quite strong, I don't think it makes it unusable.

My first response was to consider it beautiful and I didn't even think of the make-up company, as I've never heard of it before. However that might be because I don't wear make-up except on very special occasions.

It's pretty!I'm curious, though. Is it SEHF-or-uh or seh-FOR-uh?

I love the sound of this too. All I know of it is that it's a ship's name in Joseph Conrad's The Secret Sharer.
