Kalen for a boy
Watching T.V. today I saw a boy named Kalen (KAY-len). I didn't see the spelling, but I'm guessing this is the correct because it is on the popularity charts for boys, http://www.behindthename.com/top/search.php?terms=kalenSo, what do you think of Kalen on a boy? I wouldn't use it because I still find it trendy, I just thought it was different to see it on a boy instead of a girl.

I don't really like this name but I definitely think of it as a boy's name and not a girls name. One of my best friends when I was little was named Calin and was a boy so that's how I think of it.

I know a Kalen, he's my age (18). It might be getting a little trendy, but I think it's more trendy as a girls name.

I'm not a fan. It sounds extremely trendy. Plus it's got the whole anglicized-Irish thing going on, which is another huge trend. It wouldn't be so bad were it not for all these Kay-, -en, and Irish trends, but for this time period it's blase.

I think of Kalen as a masculine name. I had Caelan on my PNL for a while. I quite like the sound of it and the look of Caelan. Kalen looks trendy and is nmsaa and I don't like it for a girl.

CaelanIt could have been spelled Caelan, but they never showed it so I wasn't sure. And then I saw Kalen on the popularity charts so I figured it was Kalen. I think Caelan is a better spelling though, it does look more masculine :)
