Caitria?
WDYT? I've liked it for a while, but it really grew on me the past few weeks and is now one of my favorites. I'd use Cait or Caitie as a nn.
How would you pronounce it? It looks like KAYT-ree-ah to me, but how would you say it? And also, does anyone now the "real" Irish pronunciation?
And finally, does Caitria sound too trendy? I mean, it's got the Cait- like Caitlin and variants, so does it seem to trendy Irish? It's clearly not popular, but it still sounds a bit made up and "unique", which I would rather not have.

Very pretty. Not trendy, imo.

I want to like this name, but I just can't seem to get past the fact that it looks like "Kay-tree-ah" but I'm pretty sure it should be prounounced "Kah-TREE-ah", like Katrina without the n. It just looks wrong somehow.
Sorry. =o)

Going by the rules of the Irish language it would be pronounced Cawtria. But people would also say CAT-ria. I like it :-)
I think its nice but it reminds me of the word catering.
Caitie is a cute nn & i don't think it sounds trendy.
