I have a co-worker with a little girl named Evyn, who was named after her grandmother, Evelyn. I personally think Evelyn would've been a million times better. Even with the Evan spelling, it's not a good idea for a girl, but I'm not at all a fan of masculine names on girls. If it's any consolation, I don't love it on a boy, either, but I'd much rather see it on a boy than a girl, still.
