Bethanie looks silly/cutesy to me. I don't think it will age well, and think the classic Bethany looks much better. Picture them both on a wedding invite... and Bethany is better.I also like Bethsaida which is similar and another Biblical place name. I generally suggest Bethsaida w/ nn Saidie as an alternative to Saidie.

I suppose. I am strange, though. I prefer 'ie' at the end of a name to 'y'. I even like the variant of Harmony that is spelled 'Harmonie'.
