Nevaeh
I really like the SOUND of the name Nevaeh. But absolutely hate the way it looks and the spelling. Can anyone come up with any good alternate spellings of this name??

I have the same dilemma
I find the sound delightful, but it just looks so...Fake? on the page.
Alternatives:
Neveuh
Nivaya
Nevaja/Nivaja

I despise this name with a purple passion. It's just all sorts of wrong to me. It seems almost every lady I know (that is in their childbearing years) plan on naming their potential daughter this. But I know you're not asking my opinion... so I apologize. If you're going to use this name then this spelling is your best bet. It's the closest spelling you're going to get to the original Heaven. Anything else would seem even more uneducated then it already is.
Umm, isn't the whole point of the name is that it spells heaven backwards? Spelling it any other way just makes it looks worse IMO.
I once knew a girl called Nevin and another called Naveen, if that would interest you. This site may list them as boys names but in the Indian community they do occassionally have feminine useage.

I actually really like the sound of it too. I wouldn't use it myself, but I don't harbour the burning hatred for it that alot of others seem to.
As for the spelling, however, changing it seems to defeat the purpose of the names existence. I don't mind the way it came about- all names have to be invented at some point, and there are worse ways to do this than spelling Heaven backwards. What I don't really like about the name is that it seems to need to come with a page of explaination attachted to it- This is my daughter, her name is Nevaeh-it's-heaven-spelled-backwards. Might as well put that on her birth certificate. Oh, and what I really object to abotu the anme is when people try to pretend that it means something else- White Butterfly, Heavenly Angel, whatever. No. It just means Heaven spelt backwards, thats all. Oh, and changing the spelling, especially to Neveah - it's Haeven spelled backwards.
Anyway. I like Nevaeh, althoguh not for myself, abut I'd stick with that spellign personally.

I also think it sounds nice. Maybe Nevaya could work.
I'm in the same boat as you. I like the sound of Nevaeh but hate the spelling.
I think the spelling Nevaya looks okay.

Well, I think it's a terrible name honestly, but if you really love it, PLEASE stick with Nevaeh. Changing it to anything else will cause it to make less sense than it already does. One name that I haven't seen suggested yet is Niamh (also spelled Neve, Nev or Neeve) which can be pronounced NEHV or NEEV.
well [m]
I'm so not fond of Nevaeh BUT if you like the sound I'd still with that spelling.

This may be a dumb question, but how do you say it? I think it's like neh-VAY. Is it neh-VAY-eh? NEHV-ay?
OT: About your sig... I must have been in chemistry too long, because I saw the letters as element symbols and the numbers as subscripts for the letters. I was sitting here thinking, "Two sulfer, uh... zero Uranium, there's no element with M, E, or R!" Then I realized it was the word "Summer" with "2008". Head. Wall.

To be honest, I don't think there's any way to improve the spelling or look of this name. May I suggest some similar sounding names?

Nevaya, Nevaia, Navayah
Doen't improve the name at all, but it's some ideas at least.
