Taylor with a Y. Tailor doesn't look like a name to me.I think it's nice for both sexes, and fine on a boy. The only Taylor I know is an American guy, about 20 or 21 years old.

Taylor is GREAT, on a boy. On a girl it just ends up sounding strange, to me. (I always look at it as ... say she was dating/got married to a guy named Stephen, or any other clearly masculine name ... can you picture going to the wedding of Taylor & Stephen? It never fails to turn me off of masculine names on girls.) That's obviously just my opinion, though, as I've met plenty of girls named Taylor.
Please please please spell it Taylor, though ; Tailor is a profession.

Course, it'll work out pretty well for the closeted lesbians of the world. "Yeah, Dad, I'm getting married to Taylor. Yup." It's like Alex or Chris but even better.

Dying of laughterMy boyfriend is Taylor and his best friend is Stephen, so your example has me cracking up. XDFunnily enough, I actually heard of a *sibset* of Taylor and Stephen, and I assumed both were boys until someone else asked just that and the person said, "No, Taylor is a girl." I cried a little inside. :/

Lol [m]Haha! That's great. Stephen just happened to be the first name that came to mind. :PI swear, it just breaks my heart. There are so many lovely names for girls ... why Taylor? *le sigh*

Love it on a boyBut I might be biased because of my boyfriend, Taylor. ;) I do think it's a very handsome name for boys though. I've only ever met one female Taylor (very recently, too, and she's about my age), and I think it's kind of silly on a girl. Again, might be biased though.I definitely prefer Taylor over Tailor.

Taylor is alright, I don't mind it. I definitely only like the spelling Taylor though. I also prefer this name for a boy.

I used to love it for both genders but I am past that phase.

I don't hate this name, but I don't love it either. I know three Taylors (2 girls and 1 boy), so my first thought is it's a girl's name, but I can totally see it used for a boy. As far as MNs, the little girl I know is named Taylor Bryn which could work for a boy. Oh, and I much prefer Taylor.

I really like Taylor, too, although the board isn't so crazy about it. I definitely prefer Taylor to Tailor, and at the moment, I'm liking it on a boy. (Although in the past, I've liked it as a MN on a girl.)

I don't love Taylor, but much prefer it on a boy than a girl. Also, you should definately use Taylor. Tailor, is, no offense at all meant, kind of stupid looking to me lol. Might as well just name the kid Sewer or Stitcher or something. But I am in love with Tyler on a boy. It's just so handsome to me! People often tell me it's trendy, but I've yet to meet somebody named Tyler in my life. Tyler is just another suggestion, but I still do like Taylor as long as it's on a boy.

I prefer Taylor. It's not too common here as either a first or last name. Are you considering any middle names?

I have no idea on MNs any suggestions?
