WDYTO Vera?
I'm not usually big on girls names starting with V, and this seems maybe a little old lady-ish. But idk...I'm kind of liking it. I think it seems short and to the point, and the V hardens it up a bit...WDYT?

I love it
I am not sure if I would ever get around to using it. It is lovely though.

I kind of like it but as someone said earlier, it sounds old-lady-ish.
Like it a lot
Sometimes I really like it and think it's quite pretty and versatile. Other times all I can think of is Vera Duckworth from Coronation St lol.
I admit...
Most people I know with this name aren't exactly young.
But I don't see a problem with that!
Its a lovely name, maybe it should have a come back =)

I love it - I don't find it old lady-ish at all!
Vera Wang.
That's what I think of, but that's just my opinion.

I just had to wikipedia her because I had no idea who you were talking about. (I'm not American)
But thanks anyway :D

It really seems old lady-ish to me, most likely because it was the name of my great grandmother, but I am very fond of it. I really find it a lovely name.
Love it love it love it
It always reminds me of Vera Wang who I find quiet refined. I love the understated elegance of her clothes. And the name has the same clean, understated elegance and sophistication.
Love it.
I really like Vera. It's warm & friendly. :) Very pleasant to look at and to say aloud. Makes me smile. I've known two, so it's not exactly "old lady" to me. More timeless and lovely.
Love it
I love the name Vera, but I'm biased. It was my grandmother's name. Her real name was Veronica, but she went by Vera.
In Russian it is pronounced "VYEHR-uh," which is even more gorgeous sounding to me than the zippy English pronunciation. Vera packs a punch in either language.
My favorite combination is Vera Inez.

Don't really like it.
+ It is very much old lady-ish here in Denmark, since it is the name of my Dad's around the 80 years old aunt.

It's lovely and traditional!
I've always loved it!
Love it; nice alternative to Ava et al
I love Vera, but only pronounced VEER-uh.
Of course, old fashioned/old lady/old men names are among my favorite kinds of names. I think the majority of them work wonderfully on males and females of all ages, including babies and children.

Thanks! I quite enjoy a lot of names that are considered old-fashioned as well.
Maybe as a nn for Guinevere.
It is a bit old lady-ish as REM said.
