ditto on molester (m)
in reply to a message by Cat
My husband actually says "Chester the molester" when there's an abuse case on tv or something. I think it's a pretty common phrase.

Me, too.And aside from the molester/Linkin Park associations for me, I also know a bunch of dogs named Chester. I think it's kind cute on them, but not so much on a person.

I say it too...I've said it over on the lounge more than once when some idiot child has posted her full name or othe rvery peresonal information and appears to be begging for somebody to contact her.Somebody once told me that a long time ago Hustler magazine had had a cartoon about a "dirty old man" who was called Chester the Molester. No idea whether the cartoonist coined the phrase or was just building on something he'd heard.

Was there an actual Chester the molester or is it just a silly rhyming thing?

I heard it started in jail. Just as an expression.. "That new prisoner is 'Chester the Child Molester.' "I randomly looked it up and found this...

Probably just a coincedence his name was Chester, he's probably not the one who iniated the expression.
