I am iffy on this name. I like the meaning and the connections, but I just don't know about the sound. I feel like it's a bit harsh and overbearing, and it may sound snotty to some people (but that hasn't really stopped me in the past, like with Sebastian). I am also having seond thoughts about Christian, only it's flipped. I don't really like the meaning and connections but the sound is very... "me." (?)

BTW, Christian Matteo and Jasper Octavian are my combos. If you have any other fn suggestions for Matteo and Octavian, please let me know =]

Well Jasper is my absolute fave male name, so obviously I'm in love with it and think that it's perfect! I don't find it snotty or overbearing at all. I also think Christian is a great name, very strong and solid imo.

Christian is all right. It's not entirely in my wheelhouse, although I don't dislike it.

I love your combos, however. I think they are great together and have a nice flow.

Christian is also very nice, although I prefer Christopher.

I don't especially like Octavian, it's a bit too pretentious and latin for me. Matteo is nice though. Jasper Matteo would be cool.

I love Jasper. If you say it too often, however, I've got the feeling that it will begin to sound odd. Tried it once.
But I still love it. ;)
Well, I like the name Christian, although I wouldn't use it (because I don't like it enough). I don't think its meaning is a big problem.
