WDYTO Keri?
Kinda original or boring? What about the spelling? Any other thoughts on it? Thanks!

This is my name (or part of it, as I have one of those smushed double names). It may be my regional accent, but I pronounce Keri and Carrie differently (Keri has the "e" in "pet" and Carrie has the "a" in "apple.") Most people seem to find Keri dated and awful. I don't see anything wrong with it, but of course, I might be biased. ;)
I love the name but only spelled Carrie. It's actually one of my favorites, but spelled with a 'k', it just looks wrong imo.
I like it. Better than Kerry anyway - I know a guy Kerry so that spelling strikes me as masculine. I have three associations:
Keri Hulme (NZ author who won the Man Booker prize a few years back for 'The Bone People' - I've met her and she's a little intimidating, but she always had good lollies at Halloween :-P)
Keri Russell
Keri fruit juices (a brand here in NZ)
I wouldn't use it, but I think it's sweet, and work on someone of all ages.

I think it looks too informal or trendy. What about Keren? Couold it be a nn?
I think it's ugly.
I think of Keri Russell
I think it's a little boring. I'd prefer a long name like Carolina, with the nn Carrie/y.
