Matilda
I added it to my PNL about a week ago. I used to hate it with a passion, it seemed like such a random smush of syllables to me. However, I think now that it's clunky-ness is kind of appealing...So anyway I was thinking to justify its addition to my PNL I must have some combos! At the moment I am playing with-
Matilda Zephyrine
Matilda FleurentineFleurentine is my great-grandmothers name and I think it is absolutely exquisite. I have never been able to find a satisfactory combo for it, except for the original combo that my great-great-grandparents dreamt up :D. So I'm quite enjoying Matilda Fleurentine at the moment.Opinions would be very much appreciated!

I do find it clunky and a bit ugly.
My first thought wasn't the book/film, it looks like an old-lady name.
Madeleine is nicer (but maybe too common).Matilda Jane
Matilda Evelyn
Matilda Ruth
Matilda Genevieve
Matilda Katherine
Matilda Helen
Matilda Charlotte

Hmmm...I used to think it was an old lady name as well. Not entirely sure what changed.Madeleine is very nice, I agree, but I went to look at the baby photo competition in my town with my mum and there were lots and lots of little Madeline's so idk...I really like Matilda Genevieve and Matilda Charlotte though.Thankyou!

Whoa, Matilda Fleurentine is gorgeous! I love it. It's a really great balance of clunky and lyrical.Matilda Zephyrine is beautiful too. It has a little less clunk and a few more sharp edges, which is appealing in a different way.Matilda sounds really good with -tine names, now that I think of it. Matilda Clementine, Matilda Leontine, Matilda Célestine, Matilda Christine, Matilda Laurentine, Matilda Ernestine, Matilda Eglantine...Matilda Fleurentine is my favourite, it's stunning!

Thanks!I'm glad you like Fleurentine :DI've been getting a real kick out of names that end in ~tine lately.I especially like:
Matilda Clementine (I have another Clementine combo though)
Matilda Laurentine (my name :D)
Matilda Eglantine (*just* added it to my PNL)Thanks!

I love Matilda. Matilda Fleurentine is nice, but I prefer Matilda Fleur. It is less flowery and over the top IMO.

Thanks! As I said, Fleurentine is a family name so Fleur isn't really an option but it's nice anyway :D

I'd enjoy Matilda Florence, though Fleurentine is certainly attractive.
