Amelia is really cute and beautiful name :)) Nicknames: Mel, Mia, Amelka, Lia.

I don't really see the appeal. It enjoyed quite a vogue on the boards...must've been a couple of years ago now. I think it was before Isabella. It's been fashionable in RL too. I just find it overrated. The "eel" sound is unpleasant to me. I prefer Celia although I have the same issue with "eel".

I have known Amelias that go by: Milla, Milly (or Millie), Mia and Amy. Though there are always others and new inventions: Lia, Melia, Meme, Lili, Ay (it starts with the letter A), Ams, Mila, Mela, Lala, Amel...

I think Amelia is very sweet and feminine. I like it a lot. I think Mia and Milly make cute nn's for Amelia.
