Renata?
After quite negative opinions on Reine, I am stil on the fence about it.
What do you think of Renata nn 'Ren' instead?

I quite like Renata, it has a nice meaning. Ren is not a nn that I'd really like, but I guess it could work for this name.

I adore Renata. It is one of those names I don't know if I would get around to using, but love to hear out and about. I prefer the full name though.

I love Renata. I prefer Renate, but it is an excellent name either way. Ren is a very cute nn.

I'm not a huge fan of 'Ren' but it is quirky and cute as an occasional nick name. On the other hand, I'm a massive fan of Renata. It's really beautiful and very interesting. I love it.

Bad association for me.And so I hate it. It's up there with Abigail with me, and I simply cannot stand Abigail. It's the ultimate snarky I'm-better-than-you-so-stop-trying name to me, thanks to having known this one girl named Renata. I wouldn't have liked the way it sounds before I met her, anyway. But this is all personal, and doesn't really help you much, does it? Sorry :/

I don't like the nickname Ren, so I think whatever name comes up with that as a nn, it'll be moot for me.I prefer Reine over Renata. I like the sound of Reine better.

I know this is completely ridiculous, but I have strong negative associations with this name because it was the name of the nurse that watched over my grandma two years ago when she was really sick. My grandma lived and got rid of the lung infection she'd had for fifty years, but ended up in worse shape than when she went into the hospital... it was a really hard time for my family. She recently passed away, so I guess I'm still sensitive about the name. I know that was a tad rambly, but nevertheless, I don't like the name. :(I really like Reina, though. Do you like that?

I like the nn 'Ren' which is why I went for Reine, it is pronounced virtually the same.

Renata is ok, but has a 1970s vibe to me since it was very popular at that time here.

It's gorgeous, more useable than Reine.

It's pretty but it reminds me of a name brand gourmet chocolate. Maybe a little much.
