Martha?
WDYT?
I met a little girl named Martha today and it has really grown on me since.

I love Martha. It reminds me of my uncle's ex girlfriend (Martha Davis) who was the lead singer of the 80s band, The Motels.

I like it, although I think of Martha Stewart.

I love Martha, it's on my PNL list.Except, I couldn't use it as a first name because I would probably sing "Martha, My Dear" to her all the time!

I really, really like it.

This is a name that I would initially dismiss as being hopelessly old-ladyish, but I agree with you that on further reflection it does grow on you. Marta seems to be the popular replacement these days, but I can also see Martha coming back into vogue a la Frances and Ruby.

It's ok, but I much prefer Marta

My godmother's name, my aunt's name, my great-aunt's name, my biological paternal great-grandmother's name . . . a very special name to me!I find it pretty, however dated it may seem. It's not overly common, which gives it charm.

I've liked Martha for a while, but it really grew on me during the last season of Doctor Who. That made me realize just how nice the name is and how good it can sound on a "modern" girl/woman.

I have a lovely friend named Martha who has helped her name grow on me. I think Martha's charming and sweet. And I like Marta as a nickname (Although her nickname is Marty).

It's going to make a comeback, maybe. I have a little second cousin Martha, siblings Lucy, Anthony and Frances. I liked it when she was born about a year ago, but not so much anymore. There's a Home and Away character called Martha, and as much of a guilty pleasure as H&A is for me, I can't like the names of its characters. They're all dreadful! But I digress...All in all, I'd like to see a few more children named Martha. But not teams of them; it doesn't need to be another Ruby or Amelia.

I still find it frumpy and old lady-ish.

Each to their own, but I really can't stand Martha and can't understand its attraction - it reminds me of "mat".

It's been growing on me too. I like Marta and Margaret, so Martha is a name that I should like.

I like it. It's charming, with its strong eighteenth-century flavor. I'd like to see it make a comeback. I would love to meet a little girl named Martha.
