I like it, though Diane Christine is a bit sing-songy. 2 2-syllable names, both emphasizing the second syllable, both ending with an "N" sound . . . ugh. I love Diana, but I see no problem with Diane.

Am I the only one who thinks Diana is too tied to the Princess?

I prefer Diana

I know a young Diane (well she is my age) and she is a great girl so I can see it on a young person. Generally I think of Diane along the lines of Carol, Sharon, Karen, Barbara, Deborah and Donna, but I think it is one of the few "middle aged names" that seems retro-spunky to me. I used to prefer Diana to Diane but I think I prefer Diane actually.

Diane Christine seems kind of tired to me though. It needs something a little bit more livelier IMO.

I like it a lot. I use it in my combo Cecily Diane. I don't think it's too old at all.

I don't mind it with Christine, but the flow seems a little off between the two names - almost as if Diana Christine would work better. It needs something.

I like Diane (and Diana) well enough. They're so solid, though, that I'd rather see them with something slightly more interesting than Christine. My problem with the combo isn't that it's too old but that it's too boring. I like names that are attractive yet understated but this one is a little too bare bones for me. Christine can really compliment some names but in this case it's coming off as filler.

I like it, it was my aunts middle name, she raised me. I am also trying to think of ways to incorporate it into my own combos. I'm not especially fond of Christine, it just reminds me of Christina which makes me think of a stripper for some reason. maybe because there is a dance studio here called Christina's, and the woman who opened it used to be a stripper.

I personally prefer Diana over Diane, but that's beyond the point. Diane Christine sounds sing song-y, since both names have an emphasis on the last syllable, and both end with an 'N' sound.

Diane is my middle name also. My mother used to comment about how much she loved it, so I never really understood why she made it my middle name and not my first name.
It is okay. I have known a couple of people who think that it is so much better than my first name, Janice, and that I should start actually going by it. I do not see it that way, however. I think the two names are about on a par. Nothing really wrong with either of them, but they are both dated and scream Eisenhower era.

Diane is great. I think its simplicity and straight-forward no-nonsense vibe would make it a distinctive choice today.

I dislike Diane Christine for the same reasons as Flute.

Diane is my mom's middle name as well. :D I don't really like it all that much, though. It's all right - I wouldn't mind meeting a little Diane - but I prefer Diana by a lot.

Diane Christine sounds dated to me, and I don't really like Christine (or Chris- names in general). Plus the flow is kind of singsongy to me because they're both two syllables with the accent on the second syllable. Either Diana Christine or Diane Christina would break up the repetition better, IMO.

I love Diane! Im not keen on Christine.

Try Diana Christine. It sounds better.
