WDYTO Neil?
I noticed that Neil is the Name of the Day, and it brought it back into my mind after contemplating it a while ago. I really only have two associations with it--the character in Dead Poets Society and the author Neil Gaiman. Neither one is particularly notable in my mind (even though I like DPS, the character doesn't have the happiest story; also, while Gaiman seems like a cool guy based on what I've heard of him, I'm not familiar with his works), but it still gives off an effortlessly cool vibe. I was thinking of using it as a MN over a FN, but I'm open to either. So what do you guys think: is Neil kind of awesome, or painfully geeky, or something else entirely? I'd love your opinions. Thanks in advance. :o)

I don't like Neil. I've got bad associations, and it bores me. Ugh.

I don't like Neil. It's very, very common among middle-aged men here. I lump it in with Keith, Gary, Barry and other names that bore me totally. Sorry.

I like it. Not sure if I prefer it spelled Neil or Neal though.

I like it well enough. I don't know if I'd use it but I'd like to see it used. I also like it as a nn for Cornelius.

I love NeilIt's a great name - very manly. I am familiar with Gaiman's work and that's why I love the name as much as I do.
