Tinuviel
I've never seen anyone bring up Tinuviel, much, to my surprise, so I thought I would. I've always liked it as a GP.

I love this, and I forgot all about it. Thanks for the reminder. :D *adds to PNL*
It's been on my list for a long time
although I'm not in love with the sound nearly as much as the meaning, since Nightingale has been on my list even longer than Tinùviel. I'm pretty sure I've listed it before (no threads about just it alone), though I can't remember if I've ever mentioned it since you've been here. I'm surprised you like it. I won't say it's a GP of mine, because really my whole list is GPs at this point, since I'm not having more children.
My pet combos for it are Éowyn Tinùviel and Tinùviel Blackbird.
For what it's worth, I am deeply in love with Elessar, and really would use it at least as a mn for a son, if given the chance (and my husband were willing).

The trick to naming a kid a Tolkien name (with the exception of the female hobbit names, those are all normal)- is to either use it as a middle name, or to give the child a prosaic middle name if the Tolkien name is their first name. Options need to be there so the kid doesn't grow to hate their literary namesake.
I've seen it brought up a few times
I rather like it and might use as a middle name, but it's highly unlikely. Hmm, thank you for reminding me of it. I'm going to add it.
