I love it, but I don't know if it would be one I would use. I think it is a nice classic though.

But I genuinely really like my name. It's quirky and special but still really classic and not at all boring. Plus it has all the benefits of things like not too common and good, easy spelling. I adore it.

I love the name Georgia. I actually live in the state of Georgia, as well, and as August Rose mentioned it really isn't the cousin-marrying, uneducated black hole of America. There are a lot of good things about Georgia. I've always found it to have a romantic something in its atmosphere, its landscape and its history. So, I guess what I'm trying to say is that my personal connotation of the name does involve the state, and that I don't find that undesirable, even for someone who does live in the United States.

That being said, I really love this name and have considered it using it myself. Perhaps, it would work well as a middle name? My favorite combo for a long time was Rosalie Georgia.

I don't like it, and it has nothing to do with the fact that it's the name of a state. I don't like George or any of its feminine forms. It is better than Georgette, Georgina, or Georgianna.

I love the name Georgia. It was the #1 girl name for me and my husband. I don't have a problem with it being a state but perhaps it's because I don't live there or the U.S.A.

I love Georgia, it's the only feminine form of George I actually do like. I live in the UK so it being the name of a US state doesn't matter, it depends where you are I guess.

it's not a horrible, cousin-marry-cousin state. but I still wouldn't really name a child Georgia. though, I must admit, I have known a few that were born and raised right here. which freaks me out a little. and a Savannah (which is a city..err..town? here.) I can't quite grasp people wanting to name a child a place name when they actually live there already.
