HelpRe: "What are the worst names you can think of" (long)

Hmph, I like quite a lot of these! But I can see why people listed them as "bad". Most of them are widely seen as either dated or trashy. An Gaye and Dick are fairly obvious. These are the ones that caught my eye:
Beatrice - I liked this once, but it's become so faux-aristocratic, a little sister to Sebastian.
Francis - I like it; I just hate Frank like sin. I'd use it as a middle name.
Richard - I don't like Richard one bit. It's stale, and boring as hell. But it's hardly one of the worst names out there!
Earl - Yes, this is dreadful. It's never been used in Britain but my connotations are dated hillbilly. Brother to Cletus and Raelene.
Gladys - I have to steal Eilis's phrase here: to me, it is an irredeemably ugly name.
Esther - ditto above
Godfrey - I like this but I know it's not usable today, at least not round these parts. I don't even think I'd use it as a middle name.
Bartholomew - I like it but I can see why people would recoil. It's long and rather odd sounding.
Chastity - Terrible, yes
Chance - I know I lot of people hate this but I don't think it's bad.
LaToya, DeShawn - I do hate names like this. I have a guilty pleasure for Latasha but no capitalization mid-name!
Daisy - cutesy and childish, I don't like it one bit
