Devereux
WDYT of Devereux [DEV-u-ruu] for both genders, and any MN or FN suggestions?

I don't find it attractive, it's just a French surname to me.

I don't think Devereux would work on a girl - it sounds too masculine. Deverene is probably better for a girl.

It's ok, I guess Dev would be a cool NN for a boy. Though I haven't any idea what names to put with it :-).

I really do like it. I don't speak French (hablo español), so I'm fairly indifferent to the gender. It does seem slightly more feminine to me, however (although it's technically a male name). It's quite nice, and most people know of the silent X at the end of many French words, so I don't think it would be prn horribly wrong.Devereux Amelia
Devereux Genevieve (I love the Frenchness)
Heidi Devereux
Eris Devereux
Lily Devereux
Devereux Natasha
Poppy Devereux (I love this!)
Sakura Devereux (may be slightly weird because of the uber Japanese and French names)
