WDYT of Titania?
I want to like it but the "Tit" part always gets me ;)

You said exactly what I would have said! I do love Tatiana.
It's okay but I can't picture it on an actual person. What about Tatiana?
I prefer Tatjana
I'm like you, I love the name but would never use it because of the `tit` sound in it, and I could just imagine schoolboys having a great tease with a child Titania
I like it but, yeah, the "tit" bugs me.
When I first saw this name, I pronounced it like the 'i' in "tit" and the "-tania" like the name Tonya -- in other words, I pronounced it "tit-tonya". Though I would never use it, I like this pronunciation as well at "tye-tane-ee-ah".

I wou;d never use it but would consider using Tatiana.
I knew a Tita at college.

A beast of a name and I mean that in the best of ways. The Tit- doesn't bother me but it is reminiscent of titanium and titanic and all around makes me think of a warship or a cannon or something to that effect. Not ugly by any means but if I had to choose artilery versus baby I probably wouldn't assign it to a baby, know what I mean?
For the sake of name appreciation without the potential of practical usage I'd be all for it. I'm sure you could make some great combos with it. :-)

For me, it's not the "tit" part but the Titanic association that makes it problematic... as well as the fact that it's just a bit too over-the-top for my personal tastes (although lovely and distinguished in theory!)
I love Shakesperean names, but, while Titania does have its charm, I don't think it's useable. It reminds me of "titanium".
It's a GP of mine (along with Oberon). I'd love to see it on someone else's kid, but I'd have to wonder about Titanic jokes somewhere in the kid's future. Ignoring that, I think it's really pretty, even though it does remind me of a ship. =)
I didn't think of the tit thing, but I find the name over-the-top and too lofty for modern use. It reminds me more of Titanium.
It would be a huge cross to bear.

I like it.
It takes imagination to get the first three letters out of the name, especially because they're not pronounced that way. I'd never use it, but I wouldn't mind seeing it on a little girl. If that's all your worried about, then don't. If it was pronounced ti-TAN-ya, it might be a situation to consider, but it's not.

pronunciation
Isn't it supposed to be pronounced ti-TAN-ya (or ti-TAN-ee-a)? I've always heard it said that way in A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Ok...
I've just realised I've been pronouncing it incorrectly!

I love it. The first three letters don't bother me at all, since they're not pronounced at all like the word.
