WDYTO Candice?
I've always really liked this name. But I always thought that I could never use it because it's too close to my own name, Janice. Actually, the fact that I like Candice so much and it sounds so similar to mine is what made me realize that I rather like my own name also.
I've only known one Candice, and I met her within the last year. I know many will say that they don't like Candy as a nickname, but the Candice I know is never ever called Candy.
So, what is your opinion?

I really like Candace. I don't think Candice looks as attractive. I'm weird about Janice, too -- probably because of people I've known -- I prefer Janis.
I've never met a Candy either.

I don't like it. Never have. the only Candice's I've known have creeped me out royally. I much prefer the spelling Candace. I say it more like cann-diss; it's hard to explain, but it doesn't sound much like Janice to me at all. I think it's because of the D.

I love Candy but not Candice.
I find it out-dated and a little cheap-sounding.
Honestly, I loathe the spelling Candice. It looks fake to me. However, I love Candace. It's very pretty. I loathe the nickname Candy, though. It sounds like a cutesy stripper name.
Edited... Also, if it's close to Janice, then I assume you pronounce it KAN-dis. I always thought it might be cool pronounced kan-DAY-see, but I love KAN-dis, too.

I'm often tempted to call Candice kan-DAY-see, as a joke, but I stop myself because I think it might annoy her.
I prefer the spelling Candace. Candice reminds me of an airhead, pretty-in-pink type of girl who uses a heart in place of the dot over the 'I' in her name when she writes it.
I prefer Candace, personally. I've had several friends called Candace/Kandace and they spent quite a lot of time explaining that their name wasn't "Kansas."
