you couldn't do something like Evangeline Katherine "Eva Kate." If you love both names and one functions as a shorter form of the other, I don't see why using one as a full name and the shorter one as a nickname would present any sort of conflict.
Eva's not my thing, but Eva Kate is nice. Eva May sounds a bit silly and Eva Lily is not comfortable and nameish enough four a double FN IMO.
