Re: Cary for a boy?
When written, I would think Cary is a boy. When I hear it, however, unaware of the spelling, I would assume that Cary is a girl. That's not to say that Cary is a bad name for a boy - it's nice, and I can perfectly imagine a boy named Cary. It's just that the general public is more used to the name being used on girls (mostly spelt Carrie). If you're very worried about any confusion people might get from the name, I would suggest just using it as a mn or using a name with a similiar meaning/sound.
