I prefer Susanna because it's closer to the way it's spelled in the NT (Sousanna, not Shoshannah which is OT) and because it looks lighter, more streamlined. The h is superfluous, imo. BTW, I read somewhere that Susannah has been the more common spelling in the UK while in the US, Susanna has been the more common spelling.
I don't think anyone would view Susannah as a combination of Susan and Hannah. That never crossed my mind.
