I absolutely love the name, have done for years. The only thing that puts me off using it is the disputed meaning. I don't like the possible meanings "bitter", "sea of bitterness" & "rebelliousness". If it was definite that Mary meant either "wished for child", "beloved" or "love", then I think it's a pretty safe bet that I'd probably use it.
