Millie
I really enjoy this nickname, however, I'm not a fan of Milicent as a first name (reminds me of Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty). However, the only other name I can think of that it could work as a nickname is Camellia/Camilla (I prefer Camellia over Camilla). However, I'm not hugely attracted to it, and I tend to tire of floral names after a while. So, are there any other names you can think of that would make a nice first name for the nickname Millie? Also, I'm definitely adding Felicity Jane to my PNL. Thoughts on the combo?

I actually really love the name Millie, just on it's own. Imo it's strong enough to stand alone and suits a child and an adult. Amelia, nn Milly could work though I guess. Felicity Jane is beautiful! I really love that.

I can't think of a FN with the nickname Millie. Sorry about that....Anyway, I just wanted to say that I really like Felicity Jane. =) I've been attracted to both names due to literature and to see them together is something special.

Felicity Jane is lovely (Felicity has such an incredible meaning, not to mention an incredible sound and Jane is a total classic). For Millie, how about:Romily (my personal favourite)
Amelia
Jamelia
Amaryllis (I don't know why but I think this would work)
Matilda
Melissa
Marisol
Melinda
Melise
Malia
MirabelleWill add more later if I think of them! Hope these ones help.

I like Amaryllis, but I'm afraid I'll tire of it, because it's a floral (and it's more of a GP). However, if I did use Amaryllis, I'd use Rilla as a nickname (I love the nickname Rilla).

Camilla / Camille is not floral. It is an ancient Roman name. Camelia is the flower / floral name. It has a slightly different pronunciation that you might like better than Camilla. Would Camelia work any better? But back to your issue about Millie. Millie is an adorable nn. Other names it could be from include:Amelia / Emilia / Emiliane / Emily
Mila
Matilda
Mahalia
Melina
Mireille ("meer-AY-uh")
Emmeline
Melisande (French form of Millicent)
Melusine
Malaika
Melody
Melanie
Mileva ("mi-LAY-vuh")(Einstein's first wife)
Some of these are a bit of a stretch, admittedly. But nns aren't an exact science so I'm pretty fast and lose with my diminutives. Please let us know if you find something that works. Thanks!

I don't like Camilla because of Camilla Parker Bowles, I probably should have made that clear. Camellia is floral, and I generally get tired of floral names. I like it right now, but I've liked other florals and gotten tired of them. Who knows, if it's still bouncing around my head after a few months, it might make it on the PNL.Emilia, Emily, and Emmeline are very pretty. I do worry about them, though, because Emma is so popular. (And there are dozens of Emilys in my age range). I'm not a huge fan of trendy names, although the nickname Millie might be different enough to distance it from Emma.

JamilaJamila! I knew there was one I forgot. I love Jamila, the sounds are so soft and warm. I wish it were more popular.

I took a look at those before - the only one I like is Milena, but I don't love it, either. I suppose I could always use it as a middle name, even if I don't love it, for the nickname. It has a nice flow to it.
