HelpRe: Maude and Iris?

I like them on someone else's kids (they're cute kids too- they play the little kids in Knocked Up).
Maude is a name I feel I should like but can't warm up to. It sounds kind of plain but not in a good way like Rose, Mae or Mary.
I like Iris a lot.
