French Pronounciation
At the moment im living in france and i have noticed something. They have similar names as English but of course with a French accent. Im not sure which i prefer for each. What do you think of the french and english PRONOUNCIATIONS of the name, not necessarily the name itself.Vincenteng: VIN-SINT fr: VAN-SANTDavideng: DAYVE-IDD fr: DAV-EEEDGabrieleng: GAYBE-REE-ELLE fr: GOB-REE-ELLEQuentineng: KWIN-TIN fr: CONE-TAHNArthureng: ARR-TH-ERR fr: ARR-TU-ERRAliceeng: AHL-I-SE fr: AH-LEE-SEHeleneng: HELL-AN fr: EH-LENLucaseng: LOO-CUSS fr: LOO-KAHOceaneng: OH-SHAN fr: OH-SEE-ANNEthese are just a few but let me know what you think :)

Whenever there's a French pronunciation of something, I tend to prefer it to any other. So, with that being said:Vincent - Probably one of the few time I'll say I prefer the English pronunciation. One point for VIN-sint.David - I choose dah-VEED.Gabriel - I prefer the English, but only because Gabrielle is one of my favorite girls names.Quentin - Cone-TAHn 100%. I hate QUEN-tin.Arthur - Ar-TUERR sounds much softer and more poetic to me.Alice - Ah-LEESE definitely. AL-iss has never done anything for me, yet it's oh so popular on the boards.Helen - Eh-LEN. Much more graceful than HEL-en.Lucas - Loo-KAH. *swoons*. So poetic. I've been toying with the name Louis-Lucas (loo-EE-loo-KAH) for fun lately. :)Ocean - Oh-see-ANN. Gorgeous sound with a lovely image attached. Too bad I could never get away with it in a non-French speaking environment. OH-shin is so gross sounding.

Actually...KLEM-en-tyne would be the English pronunciation. klem-un-TEEN, I believe, would be the correct French one.
