I love the name Lottie but I don't like the name Charlotte and alothough I like the name Charlotta I can't see Lottie as a nn for that. So, is Lottie ok as a full fn? Any mn suggestions? Thanks

I think Lottie works well as a nickname for Charlotta. Why don't you think Lottie works for Charlotta?Lottie, to me, is a bit childish to stand by itself. I like the suggestion of Carlotta that someone else posted - it's very pretty. =DA nice mn for any of them could be Adelaide.

Lottie, while adorable, doesn't have enough depth to stand on its own, at least to me. If you don't like Charlotte, how about Carlotta? Carlotta is one of those known-but-underused names that I'd love to see come back into style. Just a thought.Oh, and there's always Lieselotte (sp?).

Lottie can work as a full name. I like it better as a nickname for Charlotte though.

I think that Lottie isn't nn(m)I think that Lottie in German is a name not nn of Charlotte
Lottie and Lisa (original German title: Das doppelte Lottchen "The double Lottie") by Erich Kästner
I like that a lot…

I'd use Lotte or Lotta instead - Lottie is a full-nickname to me.
Here are results of Advanced name search. (feminine name, *l*o*t*)

Out of those suggestions, I like Liorit, Loreta, Liselot, Clotilda and Bergliot. WDYT?

I wouldn't use it as a full name, but I don't see why one couldn't use it as such. I think Lottie would be fine with Charlotte, though.
