I prefer Alisa, though I don't mind Aliisa. With Aliisa being more rare in Finland, it would probably get tiring having to explain that there's two I's.Congratulations to your sister!

Well, actually Aliisa is the more traditional form here....... but today many people prefer names that would work in other countries, too, so Aliisa is considered as more impractical and nationalistic form of Alisa. A bit similar story as with Iida / Ida or Aada / Ada (though by those names is the Finnish variant more common)
