WDYTO Paisley?
Lately, I've really begun liking the name Paisley, for a girl. I'm still unsure if I would ever use it on an actual child of mine. I wanted to know what you all thought of it, so:1. Do you like the name Paisley? Do you have any comments or connotations concerning the name, good or bad?2. How many people named Paisley have you known? (I myself have only encountered one.)3. What are some combos you can come up with for Paisley?4. Given that I'm a bit of a sibset perfectionist (I'm sorry, I can't help it), what are some sibsets you can come up with that include Paisley? Feel free to includes mns if you want. Thanks!

Paisley is a rough area of Glasgow, and I'm from Glasgow (guess that deals with #1). I'd hazard to say that not one person in Scotland has the first name Paisley (so that answers #2...) and I struggle to picture it, really. But my reasons are geographical and shouldn't worry you, really.Based on sound alone, I can see how it works elsewhere. It's like Kelsey, Hayley, Ashley, and more recently Presley and Brinley ... It's fine, in that it's useable. I really don't like it :/Paisley Alexandra
Paisley Imogen
Paisley Gabrielle
Paisley Olivia

I'm not a big fan of Paisley. I do know a Paisley. Paisley Rose.

With a sister named Plaid? *g* Kidding.1. It's not my style, and not the sort of name I'd have as a GP (although I do like Sterling. Go figure). I think it sounds a little unsubstantial as a name. It might work better as a middle name if it was a family name of some sort.2. None at all.3. Combos:
Paisley Elaine
Paisley Jane
Paisley Anne
Paisley Gabrielle4. August Rose suggested Paisley and Sterling, which I think does sound nice together.

1. Do you like the name Paisley? Do you have any comments or connotations concerning the name, good or bad? When I quickly skimmed over the post the first time, I thought we were talking abouta boy's name. So that right there is a problem. Also, it just makes me think of Ian Paisley.2. How many people named Paisley have you known? (I myself have only encountered one.)I have never met anyone called Paisley?3. What are some combos you can come up with for Paisley?Paisley Anne springs to mind. Gotta have something classic and feminine to balance it!4. Given that I'm a bit of a sibset perfectionist (I'm sorry, I can't help it), what are some sibsets you can come up with that include Paisley? Feel free to includes mns if you want.I can only see it with other unisex/surnamey names, so Paisley, Morgan, Taylor, Jordan, etcS xx

1. Do you like the name Paisley? Do you have any comments or connotations concerning the name, good or bad?I do not like the name Paisley, espicalling on a girl. It's either a pattern, or a Scottish placename/surname. Paisley for a girl is also very trendy sounding. It's just not a name for a little girl, IMO.
2. How many people named Paisley have you known? (I myself have only encountered one.)I've met a few people with the surname Paisley.

Paisley Eve
Paisley Evangeline

I don't dislike it, but all I can think of is the pattern. which also brings to mind bandanas, and sweaty men.2. How many people named Paisley have you known? (I myself have only encountered one.)
none, other than the ones I've seen on tv.3. What are some combos you can come up with for Paisley?
Hm. Paisley Neisis. =]4. Given that I'm a bit of a sibset perfectionist (I'm sorry, I can't help it), what are some sibsets you can come up with that include Paisley? Feel free to includes mns if you want.
Being that the only sibset I've heard of Paisley was Paisley and Sterling (male) I quite like that one, plus, I'm a fan of Sterling.

I don't know anyone with this name. I've heard it a few times though, on TV and such.
