Veerle
I love the look of Veerle. From what I understand it is a Flemish name. I used Wikipedia to learn more about the Flemish people and culture, but couldn't find much about pronunciation and such.
Any thoughts on the pronunciation of Veerle?
What do you think?

i disagree
It's a Dutch name, more often used in Friesland (upper Holland), pronounced like Vere-le, not Vair-le like Larissa (which is also my name funny enough) said below. Maybe it's a matter of dialects, that's possible, but i think Vere-le (like -vere in 'severe') comes closer to the pronounciation.
One of my best friends is named Veerle, i love it, it's more unusual than Vera too.
!!!!!!!, ??? and ~~~~~, see my profile for their names!

I'm Flemish. The only person I know with the name uses it as a nickname. Her real name is Veronique.
It is pronounced VAIR-luh and the "VAIR" is very throaty. I like the name but only if it's pronounced correctly.
I'll be happy to answer any other questions you may have.

It's a very common name in Dutch. pronounced like Larissa said. I don't like it.
