Lizzy or Lizzie
Right now I'm loving Elizabeth nn Lizzie or Lizzy. I think I like Lizzie more because it looks more balanced. Anyway, so any opinions or this nickname? I love Eliza also, but sometimes it seems a little uppity to me. WDYT?
PS - I'm not a huge fan of the other Elizabeth nns like Bess, Bessie, Betsy, Betty, Libby etc. Although I do like Beth.

Lizzie but have you considered the continental Zizi?
Lizzy!
My little sister Elizabeth is called Lizzy. Lizzy is a wonderful nn! It's sweet and spunky at the same time.
FYI, Elizabeth Bennet of Pride and Prejudice is called Lizzy (this spelling).

really, oops. I thought I remembered Lizzie.
Yeah, people usually spell it wrong.
Hmm, this is difficult. I do love '-ie' endings, but sometimes '-y' endings take the cake. I think today, I'll have to say that I like Lizzie more.
I love Eliza (and Liza, too!) and think it's far from uppity. It has a 18th and 19th century English charm, and it's distinguished without being overly pretentious.

For the same reason as you, it looks more balanced.

Yeah, I like the spelling and nickname a lot because of Pride and Prejudice too. Thanks :)
