i'm curious where this name comes from, i thought an aviary was a bird cage.
I've only heard it on girls but it sounds completely androgynous so go ahead and use it, its got no obvious down sides.

Hm. I could go either way. I like it, but I like it on either gender, mostly because my neice's name is Avery and she's just such a cute kid.

I adore Avery on a boy I once heard it at the zoo the boy was around 7.
