Jethro?(+ a nn question)
I happened upon a song last night called Jethro by a guy named Josh Fix. It's a really awesome song and now I'm starting to like the name. Naturally (being a name nerd) I was lying in bed listening to the song and thinking about combos and the fact that Jethro sounds really cool with my last name (with is a little depressing as I am fifteen and unmarried). Well, I came up with two combos that I really like:
Jethro Harper
and
Jethro Felix
WDYT?, suggestions? abjections?
ETA: I just thought of something that bothers me a little. I wouldn't mind at all just calling a child Jethro and not giving him a nn BUT I'm afraid that if I didn't give him a nn he would end up being called Jeff *shudders*. So, maybe Jet as a nn?.

I clearly need to start watching NCIS, because my only association with this name (beyond the Bible) is The Beverly Hillbillies. Sadly, I consider Jethro unusable. I love the name, but I can't shake the association: a big dumb ox of man who wrestles 'gators and swims in a "cement pond."
Makes me think of Jethro Tull (the band)
