Re: Chloe'

I don't why I'm bothering to answer again, I should know better. Anyway, you're the one who started saying that what's the legitimate foreign pronounciation of a name is stupid and ignorant, it's normal that if people see the name with an accent they're going to assume it's pronounced the French way. Otherwise, I find it hard to believe that people would call you KLO-AY if you've introduced yourself as KLo-EE or corrected them. But as what to tell people if they mispronounce your name, I'd suggest saying "Actually, it's KLO-EE, in spite of the accent", with a smile, and not reacting as if they they had mortally insulted you.
Incidentally, your story about your sister jumping on the bed and causing a smudge that became the accent also sounds like a tall tale.
Moreover, as how I would like it if people mispronounced my name even if I've corrected them, that has happened frequently. My name is Francesca, but a lot of people say "Franzesca" or "Franzisca" even if I've corrected them, either because they can't wrap their tongues round the "che" sound or just out of carelessness. I find it mildly annoying but I don't consider it some kind of atrocious offense, and it's certainly never reduced me to tears.
You say you want helpful suggestions, and not pity, but you come across as just wanting to whine and get attention, since you've been ignoring the suggestion that all us mean people have been giving you, that is, to get rid of the accent.
