Lorena
What do you think of Lorena?
The basic things that I think need to be said preemptively:
-No, Lorena Bobbit doesn't bother me. It's no longer 1993, thanks. ;)
-It's lor-AY-nuh in my accent.
-The possibility of it being "too Spanish" doesn't bother me, either (particularly as I came across a Lorena with my surname today--which is just about the least Spanish thing you can get, lol).
-I like Lor(e) as an occasional nickname, but just plain Lorena appeals to me most.
That said...what do you think? Any combo ideas? Any kind of help would be most appreciated.
Thank you!

Lorena is a lovely name. I remember the first time I read Gone With the Wind and was so excited when Scarlett's second child was named Ella Lorena. It wasn't a name (or combo, for that matter) that I'd already liked, but once I'd read it and said it several times, I found it so exciting and fresh. I became absolutely hooked on Lorena and adored Ella's character (even if Scarlett thought Ella was a little giddy-brained and rather ugly. :/). So, the name has wonderful connotations for me.
As for combos, how about:
Lorena Scarlet (maybe too themey :p)
Lorena Carson
Lorena Dove
Lorena Julie
Lorena Cornelia
Lorena Ingeborg (I love the mixing of ethnicities...Spanish and Norwegian makes a delicious combination!)
Lorena Angelyn
Lorena Rosalind
Lorena Lucasta
Lorena Lucina
Lorena Fiorella
Lorena Saskia
Lorena Christiane
Lorena Nanon
Lorena Catherine (pronounced the French way :))

I love Lorena, but I'm lost for combos at the moment.
I think that Lorena is very pretty.
I love Lorena though I confess it does immediately bring to mind LB, but as long as you're good with that, fine. Don't worry about the "too Spanish" thing. I'm Elena and I'm not Spanish either. It would be a shame to limit oneself to names within one's ethnicity, wouldn't it? Not to mention boring. ;-)
Combos:
Lorena Charlotte
Lorena Claire
Lorena Corinne
Lorena Daphne
Lorena Giselle
Lorena Joy
Lorena Katherine
Lorena Mary
Lorena Teresa
Lorena Victoria
Those are just off the top of my head. I've never considered Lorena before.

Just keep in mind that this is what everyone else will think.
-It's lor-AY-nuh in my accent.
And that's my favorite.

"Too Spanish?" WTF? I would highly disagree there.

Good!
Past that:
I like it. It's a beautiful name with a great meaning and sound, by the time you have kids Bobbit will truly be a past memory and it matches your other names quite well. Lorena Esperance is lovely to me.

Not me - I was one in 1993. Who was Lorena Bobbit?
I agree with everything else Siri said, including Lorena Esperance. :)

LOL
Wiki it. That's all I will say on the matter.

I think it's very pretty. Much prettier than Lorraine. I think because of Ms. Bobbit, most people would know how to pronounce it too.
