Eva
I really like Eva (prn. EE-Vah) at the moment. It sounds nicknamey though. What could Eva be short for?Aswell as Ava?

It's lovely and fine as a full name. If you really want a longer form, Evelyn and Evangeline would work.

it can be nickname from Evangelina but it can be Eva from Adam's wife

I love this name!
I've recently read a book where Eva is used as a nickname of Evangeline.

I don't find Eva (Ava) nicknamey at all (It may be, if the only "fuller" names are something like Maximillian, Giorgionetta and Alexandrina) - I don't really like it, but it's another simple, elegant and unpretentious name that will look beautiful on everyone.
(I like Yeva, Chava and Eve much more than Eva and Ava)Here's what I got using the search for names, Ev*, feminine:
http://www.behindthename.com/php/search.php?terms=Ev*&name=yes&gender=f&usage=&operator=or*Eva* feminine:
http://www.behindthename.com/php/search.php?terms=*Eva*&name=yes&gender=f&usage=&operator=orAv*, feminine:
http://www.behindthename.com/php/search.php?terms=Av*&name=yes&gender=f&usage=&operator=or*Ava*

Out of those, I like
Geneva
Evadne
Elisheva
Evelina (But I prefer the pet form Eve)Avanti
Jaroslava, Bronislava
Avia, Aviva
Avigail
Avital
