I say Kat-a-ree-na. Ithink most American English speakers with no Russian/Polish/Slavic backgro8und would say it like that as well.

So as long as I stayed in this area, I'd be fine.
It's odd - X has a German background and says it the American way, I have a Swedish background and am 99% sure it would be kaht-a-ree-na.
