Re: Angela?

I must respond since my name is Angela. Since I've lived with it all my life, I'm sort of indifferent to it.
It is a name that dates someone. You would probabaly guess I'm in my 30's and you would be right.
At my child's daycare, I know a 4 year old Angela, and it's very bizzare.
For kids under 5, Angelina is actually more common.
But as plain as Angela is, I much prefer it over Angelina, which is just too over-embellished, like so many names today. For example, I just don't get why Isabella is more popular than Isabel, although I realize both are popular.
I happen to go by the nn Angie, and my opinion is eh, I'm indifferent to it.
I'm just glad my parents didn't name me Jennifer or Amy.
