I think Angela has a pretty sound to it, but it's so so common. It's almost on a level with Sarah, Elizabeth and Jennifer, what I'd call second-tier default names. (The first tier being Jane and Mary.) It's okay, but I don't like it nearly enough to ever want to use it.
Don't like the nn Angie. Makes me think of some overaged teeanger who tends to laugh very loud and long at things that aren't really all that funny. The kind who is the "life of the party" when sober, but is just loud and shrill when you get a drink into her. lol
