This is off-topic, but I thought I'd mention that I *love* Charles Dickens, since it's his birthday! Thanks for reminding me! :-)

The meaning is very pretty. I'm not sure how I would like it, depending on the pronunciation. Ee-dun-ee sounds a bit prettier than Eye-dun-ee. Id-uh-nee is awful.

I love it, that is why I chose it as my posting name! I agree it can be nicer with a shorter or more well known mn, but I like it in many combos.

I love the meaning of it and the sound. It's just a great name altogether. As it's unusual I recommend pairing it with a normal name and I think Idony Jane is adorable.

I think it's rather pretty, and I actually haven't heard it before. I think a one syllable middle name would sound nice, like Idony Jane or Idony Ruth.

I had not heard this name but I really, really like it. Both the sound and the meaning are lovely IMO.
